HOLY DAMN!! I havn't uploaded artwork here in FOREVER! For that, I apologize. I have been very busy with my vacation and myy family. I would have uploaded this sooner, but I 've been very sick. DX

Anyway, this is my contribution to Sonic's 18th Birthday. I know I'm over 2 weeks behind, but better late than never! ^^;

This is sort of a step-by-step tutorial on how I make my sonic pictures. And, for the first time ever, I have made a pic with Sonic Adventure style shading. My next entry will be a close-up of my SA picture.

This was very complex. As you can see, I made this from scratch, starting with the pencil lineart, than used the pencil to color and shade in traditional art. I than scanned it to make digital lineart in Photoshop. The coloring was pretty easy, then using my tricks to make Sonic X shading. Finally, after a 2 weeks of work, i finished ti off with Sonic Adventure Shading.

This is by far the best Sonic pic I've made so far. I think I chose a very good pose for this as well. This is also a major improvement from my last 2 pics oc Sonic. =D

Same as my SLCS pics, this piece was inspired by the artwork of :icondan123:

I use Photoshop 7.0

The trick is to use the pen tool with a 4 pixel flat brush (calligraph brushes) for perfect curves. I use it to make outlines for the shadows, then fill it with the magic wand and paint bucket.

2 years of experience in PS helps too. ^_^
